    This fundraiser will benefit

    Master Kamlesh

    from Jaipur, Rajasthan

Last month, Kamlesh suffered from recurrent fever which refused to go and soon his entire body turned pale. He was diagnosed with jaundice. But the medicines failed to work and his condition became so severe that he had to be admitted in the hospital in the middle of the night.

We just didn’t understand how our child who was healthy and super active until a week ago was lying completely lifeless in the ICU. The local doctors said that there was nothing they could do and that we have to take him to a bigger hospital, his condition was very serious. But we never thought it would turn out to be cancer!” - Laxmi, mother

Kamlesh suffers from high risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a severe type of blood cancer. But it wasn’t just that, his liver is failing too. Kamlesh needs to immediately undergo chemotherapy and stay in ICU to survive. His condition is very critical and without the treatment, he might not survive.

He can barely open his eyes, let alone talk to us

It’s been almost a month since Kamlesh has been admitted in the hospital and all this while, these parents have been spending their days sitting beside him in silence, desperately waiting for him to talk.

“He could barely move his body or open his eyes, let alone talk to us. This disease has left him so weak that every minute I fear losing him. Every morning Laxmi and I visit him, hoping that today he might say something but he doesn't respond. With each passing day his condition is getting worse, I can’t tell you how much it hurts to watch him suffer like this. The inability to save our son, the helplessness, it’s just... We are failing as parents.” - Anil, father

He is all they have, only you can help

“I am a daily wage labourer. I don’t have a fixed routine or income, I do odd jobs -working at a construction site or working in others’ fields in the village, anything that I can get on a particular day. Sometimes we barely have enough to even afford the food. How will we ever be able to afford lakhs of rupees for my child’s treatment? How will I save him? You are our only hope. Please help us!” - Anil

Kamlesh is their only child. No matter how difficult it was for them to manage their monthly expenditure, they made sure to save for Kamlesh’s education. Laxmi even worked as a daily wage labourer herself on days when it got difficult to keep their dream alive. They wanted a better future for him but now they struggle to save him.

Only you can help these parents save Kamlesh. Your contribution can give this teenager a second chance at life. Click here to contribute.
