Little Dhawal was playing on the terrace when he accidentally got electrocuted by an open extension wire. His clothes turned to ashes and by the time his family came to rescue him, his whole body was burnt.

"I keep thinking about it...a 100 times, wishing that day could be reversed, that somehow, he was not there or someone could've stopped him. I just can't see him like this!" - Manisha, mother

With each passing moment I was losing him a little

“When I saw him lying there on the terrace, his skin was completely burnt and he was crying for help. I will never forget his screams! I kept talking to him on our way to the hospital and it was… it was very terrifying. The hospital we went to, refused to take him in. With each passing moment I was losing him a little. I didn’t know what to do.”

After several hours, finally Dhawal was admitted in the hospital and his treatment began. But it was not the end for their fears. His condition was very critical. His chances of survival were low but the family didn’t lose hope.

“My brave child kept fighting and is still fighting, doctors say it is his will power that saved him. This has been the most painful time for everyone, especially Dhawal. He kept screaming and crying but he never gives up.”- Manisha, mother

He was on the verge of death...

Mohan and Manisha still live each day in the fear of losing Dhawal. His lungs and other organs are constantly under the threat of getting affected. There have been so many days when they thought they would lose him, he was on the verge of death. But their brave little child continues to fight.

“He is slowly recovering now, with each dressing we watch him heal...his internal organs are getting back to normal. My little boy is putting all his efforts to move around and do all the exercises. But I am failing. Till now I've begged, borrowed from everyone. My relatives helped me with all they can but I have nothing...nothing left at all now.”- Mohan

How can I go click photos when my child is...

“I work as a small-time photographer. I click photos in functions, marriages and this is a seasonal business. Whatever I earn I have to manage that till I get the next contract. Though September to December is a seasonal time for me...How can I go click photos when my child is… Please help me.”- Mohan

The cost of treatment amounts to 28 lakhs,  which is outside the scope of Dhawal’s family. They have already exhausted all the available finances on treatment and need help. A small contribution from you can help Dhawal recover completely.
