It’s been 9 months and her eyes are still yellow

Just 5 days after Prasana and Chandrashekar's baby was born, she was put in an incubator. She had jaundice and needed immediate attention.

“The doctor said she is fine and we can take her home but her eyes, they stayed yellow. No matter how many times we took her to the hospital, they said she was fine… I wish I took her to another hospital. Why didn’t I?” - Chandrashekar, blaming himself

I carried my unconscious child, just praying nothing happens to her

“It was in the middle of the night, I woke up to check on her and her forehead was burning. I woke her up and she started crying but then suddenly, she fell unconscious. All the way to the hospital, I kept praying that she'd be okay... that we don't lose her like this.” - Prasana

Prasana's baby was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease and underwent a procedure to remove the blocked bile ducts, but it failed. They are only left with one option now - a liver transplant.

Even both their incomes together is nowhere close to what they need 

“I drive an auto. Even if both of our incomes are put together, it is not even close to a few thousand rupees, let alone 20 lakhs… I will lose my child this way.” - Chandrashekar

There are days when this family has to sleep on an empty stomach, drinking just water. 20 lakhs is something they can never even think of, but now, they need it to save their baby. Without the liver transplant, they will lose her.
