    This fundraiser will benefit

    Baby of Hemalatha

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

They give us just 5 minutes, twice a day, to take a look at my baby boy. How is that ever enough? I see him covered with tubes and wires, I can’t even imagine how much pain he is in. This is not what I had imagined when I got to know that I was pregnant. But look at us now - my husband and I are not even sure if he will even live to see the next day,” - Hema Latha, mother.

The baby boy needed a surgery soon after he was born

Hemalatha and Venkataraman’s son was born on 11th November - a couple of days before he was supposed to be born. Soon after his birth, the doctors found out that he has a hole in his heart - Hema Latha’s newborn would need an immediate surgery.

“A surgery on a newborn - I was shocked. What if he doesn’t make it? But the doctors said that it was absolutely necessary and we somehow arranged for funds. We hoped and prayed that our little baby would get well soon but that was not going to happen. Despite the surgery, he is battling death,” - Hema Latha.

His lungs are failing, he needs urgent treatment

Even after the surgery the Hema Latha and Venkataraman’s newborn is not out of danger. As a result of post surgery complications, fluid has built up in the little one’s lungs. He can’t breathe on his own - he needs ventilator support.

“My baby needs to stay in the ICU for at least a month, he is critical - he needs medical care at the earliest But it would cost us 20 lakhs! Even if we try very hard we would never be able to arrange so much - how do I save my child?”- Hema Latha asks with tears in her eyes.

You’re their only hope

Venkataraman works as a supervisor in a construction site. He makes a meagre income of Rs 10,000 per month. But for the last couple of days he hasn’t been able to go to work at all. He has been shuttling between the hospital and their rented home in Miapur, Hyderabad where their 8-year-old son is waiting for them.

“We have spent over 5 lakhs by borrowing from others, but it’s not enough. My newborn is dying and I am unable to do anything about it. Please help me,” - Venkataraman, father.

These parents are struggling to save their newborn - they have nothing left. With your help, they can bring him home.
