Little Ananya and her twin, Arnav, were born to Sachin and Vaishali 4 years ago. They had brought with them a happiness that the parents had never known before. For the first time, life was finally good. Even though they only lived in a mud hut, even when their harvest gave them a smaller yield than expected, they were happy. Life was finally complete. 6 months later... they discovered Ananya had a deadly blood disorder.

The transfusions were able to control the symptoms, but it’s just been delaying the inevitable. Now the doctors are saying even they’re not working like they used to. Any day now... Before she started getting her transfusions, little Ananya used to have frequent fevers, and was extremely tired all the time. She barely had the energy to lift her head. Getting regular transfusions brought her symptoms down to a minimum, but still didn’t take them away entirely. Moreover, blood transfusions lose their efficiency over time, as they have in Ananya's case. Only a bone marrow transplant can cure her completely.

"I am a farmer. I work on my field and then go to others’ fields for more work. I don’t know what else to do. Every paise is so important for us right now... I am ready to do any kind of work that my body can bear, anything. A few months ago, our cooker exploded while Vaishali was cooking. Her face and shoulder got burned; we had to spend for her treatment as well. We have nothing now, our children are all we have left. Please save our Ananya...”
