What started as a regular cough turned out to be a Life threatening condition.
Dad got diagnosed with Influenza A virus(equivalent or sometimes dangerous than H1N1 virus). After a check up with a specialist we were informed that it would probably take around 5-6 days of hospital stay and the lung will be cured. But since we had a 4 lakh insurance cover we chose a good Hospital.
Each day in the hospital is costing us 60-70k because of the severity of the condition. Shifting to a economical hospital is completely out of picture for the next couple of weeks, because there is 100% chance that his lungs would collapse.Now we are in desperate need of money.
We have paid the hospital bill until now by using insurance,savings, borrowings and by selling off the jewellery.
My Dad needs ICU care for a minimum of 15 days more and the money is beyond our reach.
