Hi, I am Durgesh Kumar, an Indian undergraduate student at IISER, Kolkata, hoping to join Harvard or MIT the next year. I have conducted researches on many topics which have won national and international awards and appreciation. My current topic of research is Anti- Biotic Resistance.Anti-Biotic Resistance is the phenomenon when bacterias become resistant to all our available anti-biotics and thus present anti-biotics drugs becomes ineffective on them. Now this is more dangerous than it sounds, a post anti-biotic era, which is approaching at a lightning rate means that even a simple bacterial infection can't be treated, and thus making us stand at point where a simple wound on your hand can take your life. The situation is even worse for developing countries and as anti-biotic resistance is not your presonal body resistance but a bacterial resistance and as bacterias spread quickly without borders, so even a single person taking anti-biotics not judiciously can trigger the anti-biotic resistance epidemic. In the words of WHO, anti-biotic resistance is more of an emergency that even nuclear wares because anti-biotic resistance can take more life than even nuclear wars. I am not saying this that we should panic, but we should definitely research to get rid of anti-biotic resistance. And that's what I am doing.

I am working on a totally different kind of anti-biotics to which bacterial resistance will be very hard. I am combining the science of epidemics, evolution and drug-making to design a totally new kind of anti-biotics based on a totally new concept. I have get an initial acceptance from Wyss Institute, Harvard University to carry my research in their lab along with their team. But they have asked to strengthen my research with more data and make my research bit more strong, and this will cost me money. Apart from my savings, I am fundraising to full fill the same need. I would like to tell that this research of mine has been appreciated by NatGeo as the "breakthrough in medical science if results are successfully replicated". I would also like to tell that I have won many other national and international awards and appreciation from A P J Abdul Kalam, Pranav Mukherjee, C N R Rao, Max Tegmark,Professor, MIT for my other researches, so you can be sure that your money is going in the right hands.

I would like to repeat that anti-biotic resistance is a medical emergency, an epidemic which can takes more lifes than even nuclear wars, and I have potential solution to it, so please donate so that I can carry this research, strengthen it and experiment on this at Wyss Institute, Harvard University.

Thanks,
Durgesh.
