What can we do to transform the lives of a whole generation of school-going children from under-served families?
Pratham's ASER report has been put out year after year highlighting how learning levels of children are falling behind their grade levels.I am part of this amazing team that is working tirelessely to improve the quality of education in low-income schools serving the under-privileged. The intervention is called STEP - the School transformation and Empowerment Project. The program is aimed at a complete turn-around of school by affecting all key stakeholders, namely - the school administration, teachers, parents and students.
As part of the on-ground, deep community involvement and engagement, MANTRA started a pre-service teacher training program for youth in the community. What started as a program to create a pool of effective teachers for our students in the under-privileged community has today turned into a skill-building and empowering experience for the youth in the community..!

We plan to strengthen our team and expand the scope of STEP to more schools in the coming academic year. Help me raise funds to support MANTRA's work. Help us take our community teacher development program to more and more number of such amazing young minds, who have the passion to improve quality of life for communities and their environments. To us, every contribution, big or small is important.
