Fundraising to help Chennai!

Tamil Nadu's worst and most relentless rainstorm in a 100 years is showing no signs of letting up. Life in capital Chennai ground to a complete halt as a fresh wave of rain lashed the city where 15 teams of the National Disaster Response Force have arrived. Industry lobbies are putting a Rs.15,000 crore figure on the expected financial loss as weather forecasting agencies predict heavy rain to continue for at least the next two days.

Soldiers joined the rescue and relief work and more troops were on their way from Bengaluru to Chennai, the sprawling southern metropolis with over 4.6 million residents.

The unprecedented rains, the worst in 100 years, have battered Tamil Nadu's northern districts such as Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Cuddalore, the toll has crossed 190.

We need immediate help to support the families. Your contribution will help a family from floods.

Dear Supporters,

Tiruvallur district in Tamilnadu is one of the worst affected districts in recent Tamilnadu Floods. Our team has distributed relief kits in three remote villages. Due to the isolated location, no help has reached these villages yet. The Relief kits were given to each family in all three villages. Image titleImage titleImage titleImage titleImage titleImage title

Yesterday, we have supported 80 Children with Educational Kits in a Middle school at the worst affected Buddampadi village in Cuddalore. This village Buddampadi lies very close the Perumal Lake. During the floods the water level was over 6 foot and the Flood has severally damaged the agrifields and houses.

Also the villagers have lost their valuable assests like cattle, goat and chicken. The flood also destroyed the school’s compound wall and all the children in the village have lost their school bag and notebooks. With your support, we have helped 80 children to continue their education as before! This wouldnt be possible without your support. Thank you!
