    This fundraiser will benefit

    Vishaal Karthik

    from Madurai, Tamil Nadu

I am Prathiksha, raising fund for my classmate Vishaal Karthik (Age 16 - 12th grade). He is doing 12th grade in Mahatma Montessori Matriculation school, Madurai.

Vishaal Karthik is 16 years old. He is suffering from MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) a type of Blood Cancer. MDS are conditions that can occur when the blood forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal. This leads to low number of one or more types of blood cells.

His condition is critical. The treatment for this condition is Bone Marrow transplant and he is admitted in Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai. And the treatment costs around 40 Lakhs.

His father is an Auto Driver and can barely bear the education and daily expenses of the family. Vishaal has an impeccable academic record. He is the topper in 11th grade. For parents, having a child diagnosed with cancer is a devastating experience. In addition to that having no means to provide for his treatment is a big emotional hit.

The boy's health condition is very bad, we are searching for a matching bone marrow donor and the doctors have started chemotheraphy from 21/12/2018. His blood cell count is less than 4000. In the past one month he is injected with fresh blood platelets. Because the bone marrow cells are not able to multiply and grow and produce blood.  Your contributions bring him a step closer to Life. He needs all the help he can get in the world, let us all help him get through this difficult journey.

Please be kind enough to donate as much as you can. Your donation will not only save the boy, it will help save the entire family.
