A Grieving Family struggling with Financial Burden

Our father passed away on 18th September, 2020, after a seven day-long battle with COVID-19, at AIIMS Jhajjar. He was 58 years old and the sole earner of our family. After his sudden demise, we came to know about the debts and loans he had taken to keep his work running. As a family, we could not even grieve his passing and we had people at our door the very next day. We are now a family of three, two daughters and a grieving wife. My sister and I are students at a government university in Delhi and our mother is a home-maker, absolutely incapable of earning.

My sister and I had raised relief funds during the North-East Delhi riots and we're aware how this experience is so fulfilling for both the donors and the recipients. I, on behalf of my family, urge the readers to help us cover the debts so we can have a peaceful life.
We do not intend to run away from the situation, which is why I request all the readers to please come forward and help us repay the debts.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you to each one of you who has supported us through these difficult times. You all have stood by our family during a difficult time and I can only pray that all of you remain happy and healthy.

This money is helping our family get rid of the debts that our father left behind. We're slowly moving towards convincing everyone that their money isn't going anywhere so they stop making unsolicited visits to our house. And we for sure intend to pay all the debts to lead a peaceful life ahead.

The very first withdrawal was done by my sister Alina. The amount that was withdrawn was about ₹50,000. This money was used to repay a local debt, partially. Another withdrawal of $700.23 took place in her account that shall pay the rest of the amount to that lender. We'll send the ledger. The lender, who goes by the name Aggarwal, is satisfied with the repayment and he is okay if we delay the payment for the rest of the amount, which is approx. ₹48,000.

The other withdrawal is being done to my (Shanila's) account. The amount that I have requested is ₹1,31,273.61. This amount will go to another local lender who goes by the name Sapra traders. Approximately ₹60,000 will still be left for us to pay him.

Background: These people provided raw material to our father for his firm. Our father had a small firm where he provided manpower for housekeeping services.

We slowly plan to withdraw the entire sum amount collected on Milaap, apart from paying the local lenders we will also utilize the funds to pay all our outstanding bills which were to be paid by our Father for the previous month, such as house rent (we don't own a house, the place where we live is rented), electricity, gas cylinder, groceries, etc.

Thank you to each one of you once again, you all have been very supportive of us.

Regards,
Shanila.
