The Samhita Development Network provides essential social services in the areas of health, education, environment, and economic development. It serves women, the aged, the handicapped, children, the economically poor, and the socially depressed from disadvantaged communities across Madhya Pradesh in central India. Its economic arm, Samhita Community Development Services, was registered as a non-profit in September 2007, and helps impoverished communities build livelihoods through microenterprise. It stages livelihood interventions by providing them the necessary microfinance and access to web-enabled common markets. Milaap has partnered with Samhita to support enterprise development among the impoverished communities of Madhya Pradesh.
