Here is an update on the progress of our campaign.

Currently, we are running field operations to identify the children with malnutrition among the tribals in Jhapra gram panchayat of Sukma. The identified severely malnourished children will be taken to the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) to provide them with adequate nutrition until they gain 15% of their weight. We have diagnosed 192 kids in October and 213 kids in November. Please find attached the reports of the malnourishment levels of the kids in Oct-17 and Nov-17.

Our Poshan Mitras are working closely with the families of malnourished children to ensure that they are given nutritious diet. We are also working with pregnant mothers to create awareness on the best practices of the first 1000 days to prevent malnutrition and promote healthy childhood.

Volunteers provide awareness to the parents about giving proper nutrition to the kids and about sending them to' Ankanvadis', which provide education as well as nutritious food.Classes about prevention of malnutrition for kids and pregnant women are being conducted by our volunteers.

We are educating them with the help of an android application. However, this application is in its pre-implementation stage and our tech team is working on the web integration of the same.

We are also looking forward to joining hands with the Government and NGOs to support our cause. We hope that we will be able to implement further field operations by mid- January.

Dear Friends,

Very happy to share that our efforts are creating impact.

In the last 3 months,
a)deliveries in hospital increased to 82% (compared to 55% in the first 8 months).  
b) 50% of the children recovered from severe malnourishment.

• 117 children diagnosed in July-17
• 138 children diagnosed in Aug-17
• 15 mothers got diagnosed for pregnancy related check ups in Sep-17 & 4 pregnant mothers in Aug-17 during PMSMA (Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matrutva Abhiyaan)
• 6 Poshan Mithras & 4 Swaasthya Saathis are working actively

We are withdrawing funds to provide remuneration to the field staff.
