"She will get first division next time."- Dhaneshori

As we parked the scooter, we walked to Dhaneshori’s grocery shop. My companion greeted her as she invited us into her shop. She ordered someone to get another stool so that I can sit more comfortably. Dhaneshori got married in the year 1999.She and her husband run the grocery shop together. She was embarrassed when we were interrupted by one of the customers. She said, “Give me a minute, I will be back.” I requested her to attend the customers first. Dhaneshori revealed, “When I am not running the shop, I wash the end products of Wangkhei Phi. I do that to earn some extra money.” She informed that her elder daughter is in 11th standard. She sighed, “ She scored well this year. But she is upset that she could not get the first division. She missed it by mere 3 marks.” Her son is in class 6. “My son wants to become an Army officer. My youngest daughter is in class 3. She wants to be a nurse”, she blushed. As we carried our conversation further, I was informed that Dhaneshori paid her elder daughter’s admission fee with the loan money. She proudly revealed,“ She wants to be an IAS officer.” She also paid her children’s school fees. She stood inside her shop as I clicked her picture.
