Rasmita's village doesn't have a high school

Rasmita stays in Badajaria village located in Pattamundai district of Odisha. Rasmita says, “My husband stays at Hyderabad. He works in a company. I have a daughter and a son. My daughter is 2 years old. My son studies in class 5. He stays at Pattamundai at my sister’s place. Since here there is no high school, no tuition, no proper education facilities. I am planning to send my daughter to Pattamundai so that she can also study over there.This area lacks proper educational facilities. It is quite backward when it comes to the sector of education." She also runs a small scale dairy business. She has two cows. Her father-in-law takes care of the cows. Her mother-in-law died a few years ago. Rasmita says,“We had partially built the toilet. The loan from Gram Utthan helped us in building a proper toilet. Previously we use to go to the fields.” She is thankful to her lenders.
