Jhilbala and her son were present for the interview. Her son Gobinda is in 12th class now. He was not able to pass last year and therefore is repeating the same class. His mother used the loan to pay for his tuition fees, to buy him educational materials etc. He used to go to 3 tuition last year and now also he is going to 3 places. Jhilbala is a member of BJS (Milaap's partner) from 3 years.

Jhilbala is doing bag business from many years. Her husband is also involved in the same business, he sells the bags in the market. They supply the bags on a daily basis. They make 50-80 bags in a day and sell it anywhere between Rs 10-30 per piece. Earlier Jhilbala used to make around Rs 100 pieces a day when her daughter also helped her. Now her daughter is married and she has become old therefore she is not able to make that much. She has 3 children, out of which two are married. She has 1 machine only now. Her other machine got bad and she desires to buy a new machine and her husband also helps her in the same. She now works around 4 hours a day. Jhilblala had a grocery shop earlier which had to be closed due to road development. She desires to open it soon. She says that because of the closing of the shop they are facing income shortage. And the loan amount is also not sufficient to do the business properly.

Last year Gobinda didn't put efforts according to his mother, he was not able to score well. He has to repeat two subject's exam now which he was not able to clear now. His tuition are sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening. His mother tells him to learn computer but Gobinda argues that he will need a computer at home if he will learn as it would not be much useful without it. But his mother does not have money to buy one. Gobinda desires to work in a bike showroom also to support his family. But his mother desires that he learn computer and open a small shop. Gobinda is very good in nature and listens to all what his mother says.

Jhilbala said that she doesn't face problems in repaying the loan and she will pay it continuously even if she has to skip her meals.
