Angshu desires to become a doctor in future

Angshu is in 8th class now. He was studying when we reached his house. Anghsu was shy to talk so his mother Shampa did the talking. Shampa used the loan to provide for educational materials, tuition fees and a cycle. He goes to private tuition on cycle. He mother drops him at school. Shampa is a member of BJS (Milaap's partner) from 9 years. She took the loan as they would have suffered losses in business if they used the money for their son's educational expenses.

Anghsu is good in studies, he got little less marks in maths only. He goes to tuition in 3 places covering all the subjects. The tuition teachers come to his place to teach most of the subjects. Only for English he goes out to study. He studies around 5 hours in a day. He got 2nd rank last time. He does drawing apart from studies. He goes to drawing classes also and is doing from around 4 years. He is very good at it said Shampa and added that she doesn't have to ask him to study, he does on his own. 

His mother does beauty parlor work, she goes to houses mostly for the work. She also does sewing work apart from the parlor work. Shampa is doing the sewing work from around 10 years. She earns around Rs 6000 from both her work. Her husband does steel furniture business. He runs the shop on partnership with 2 more people. His earning depends on the sale of the shop. On an average he earns Rs 5000 profits per month. Durga puja was next week of the interview. And the sale in the shop increases to a great extent during the puja season. Recently they sold furniture worth of Rs 90000 in a day. Shampa added that the furniture business is such that when the sale happens it does on a good scale and other times the sale is too low. So on the month of puja he earns around Rs 20000 to 25000 per month.

She thanks the lenders for the loan and said that it has benefited them. Angshu desires to become a doctor in future.
