Kaliben had tried her tried her hands in various business in the past three years and could unfortunately not find any success in them. She was reduced to the point where she decided to take up manual labor work to earn a living for the house. Her husband rides an autorickshaw in the town for a living. From our discussion with Kaliben we came to know that there was a small space in their house which they were going to leave on rent and that is when they came to know about microfinance. This went on to change their life for the better forever as today Kaliben has set up her own general store in the space she was going to rent and the shop provides them with a decent amount of income. Now Kaliben is able to take care of the necessities of the house along with spending for her children's education. She plans to further expand her shop and get a car by loan for her husband so that he could use it for transportation business.
