In December last year, 4-year-old Yuvraj suffered from small lesions on his face and the little boy complained of pain in his ears and left eye. Soon his eye swelled abnormally and within the next three days, he suffered from facial palsy.“We rushed him to the hospital and he was admitted immediately. But no medicine was able to cure him. It was as if his eye was pushing itself out from its socket. His blood level constantly kept falling down and he was given blood transfusions every 2 days. I was afraid of losing him and I kept praying to God to make it stop.”- Deepak, father
Cancer is spreading rapidly and he needs immediate treatment
Yuvraj underwent a biopsy for his eye and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a type of blood cancer. It is a disease in which the body is unable to produce enough blood cells and platelets. It progresses rapidly and needs immediate treatment. If not, it can cause severe damage to vital organs.“All this while I thought it would be some infection that would go away but I never thought it would be something so life-threatening. He needed immediate chemotherapy so, with all the money we had, we came to Boravli for treatment but it is not enough, the treatment cost is way beyond our capabilities.” - Sneha
I don't know what to do, how to save him...
“I used to work as a security guard. My income was not much but it was enough to provide my family with basic necessities. Now, I don’t even have that little income to support my child’s treatment. I had to leave the job to take care of Yuvraj here. But I am helpless, unable to afford his treatment. He needs chemotherapy and supportive treatment to beat cancer, to save his eye and his life. I don’t know what to do. Please save my child!” - Deepak
While Yuvraj and Sneha are in the hospital room, Deepak stays in the waiting area all day taking care of medicines and bills. They also have a 6-year-old daughter who they had to leave in the care of a distant relative back in Thane. The only source of contact for all of them is video calling. They long to go back, being the happy family that they always were but it won't be possible without your help
