‘My Husband’s Kidneys Are So Damaged That It Has Paralysed Him. Help Him Undergo A Transplant’

"My husband used to be so cheerful. His laughter and positive energy kept us going during difficult times. But he is weak and paralysed now, all because of kidney failure that threatens to take his life. I can't imagine our lives without him. We need your help to save him."- Chaitali, wife

On April 13, Vikram suffered a stroke while undergoing dialysis, leaving his right side completely paralysed. The high blood pressure during the dialysis session was too much for his weakened body. He spent 12 days in the hospital, and the bills amounted to 5 lakhs. Now, he continues to endure the pain and undergoes dialysis twice a week, but his condition is getting worse as days go by.

He is completely confined to his home

Vikram's struggle began in 2019 when he was diagnosed with kidney failure after he had recurrent fever and breathlessness. Since then, he has been undergoing dialysis twice a week. Despite all efforts, doctors have now advised that a kidney transplant is urgently needed to save his life.

He cannot walk at all. He suffers from persistent pain in his legs too. It breaks my heart to see him so weak. He tells me regularly that he feels guilty that he is not able to fulfil his responsibility to us as a son. But I console him saying that I will take care of him until my last breath.”- Manisha, Vikram’s mother

‘My salary barely covers household expenses…’

Vikram was working as an accountant, but since his health deteriorated, he has been unable to work. Vikram and Chaitali have a 14-year-old son in 9th standard, and both his retired parents live with them, dependent on their support. The family urgently needs funds for a kidney transplant, which is the only hope to save Vikram's life. Unfortunately, they have exhausted all their resources, and Chaithali's salary is barely enough to cover their daily expenses, let alone the enormous medical bills.

Help them get back to being the happy family that they once were

My salary barely covers the household expenses and Vikram’s dialysis costs. We are reaching out for your help. Contributions, no matter how small, can make a big difference in saving his life and keeping our family together.”- Chaitali
