Radha watches her son crawl in bed and suffer. He is a little over 2 years old but doesn't walk or gain weight. He looks extremely malnourished, and none of his growth milestones have been achieved. She watches the other children of his age run, talk, and do things that her son might never be able to do if he doesn't get a liver transplant. Gorakhnath and his wife Radha were blessed with two daughters. They often wished for a son who would complete their family, so they were overjoyed when their son was finally born. But soon, they noticed that something didn't seem right with him. He used to be persistently irritated and often refused feeds. He would throw up what he was fed and cried inconsolably. Worried, these parents consulted a doctor who gave them some medications and said he would improve with time. But he did not. By the time he was 5 months old, he looked very sick. They knew it was indicative of something worse.
"When we took him to a specialty hospital, we were hopeful that our son would be treated back to good health soon. The doctors ordered various tests. We were shocked and in disbelief when the results came back. The doctors told us that our son had acute liver failure since birth. His liver was not functioning properly, which was the reason for his poor growth. They said that medications would help him for some time, but later, he would need a liver transplant to survive. I couldn't believe this would ever happen to my son." - Radha, mother, breaks down crying.

The process seemed endless, as the donor registries had no match or had a long queue of recipients before him. As luck would have it, his mother turned out to be a match and decided to donate a part of her liver to her son. This brought a ray of hope for the family in the grim situation.
The cost of the liver transplant extinguished their hopes of seeing their son healthy again
Gorakhnath works as a security guard for a private agency and earns INR 15,000 per month. With him being the sole bread earner of the family of seven people, this earning barely manages to make ends meet. They have already spent INR 2 lakhs on his treatment which has consumed all his savings."I see my wife crying every night, praying for a miracle. It shatters me completely to watch her in this state and be unable to help her get out of it. No one should have to ever go through something like this." - Gorakhnath, father
There is no way for Gorakhnath to arrange the funds required for his son's liver transplant
"We need 15 lakh rupees for the liver transplant, which needs to be done immediately so that my son gets a fighting chance to survive and so his lack of growth does not become permanent. I cannot afford this huge amount, nor is anybody ready to lend me the required amount. All hope seems lost for us." - Gorakhnath, with a tear trickling down his eyes.
The little boy needs to undergo an urgent liver transplant to survive, and his parents have no way of affording the money required for it. They appeal to you to pour your heart out in supporting this child generously.
