He Wanted To Join The Indian Army And Protect The Nation, But Now He Needs The Nation's Help To Survive

My son was returning after visiting us for Chhath Puja, traveling with his cousin sister and her family, when a truck rammed into their car from behind. The police arrived quickly, and everyone was rushed to the hospital. While the others escaped with minor injuries, my son wasn’t so fortunate. He suffered a brain hemorrhage and needed immediate surgery to stabilize him. Those initial days were a blur—filled with surgeries, anxious waits, and endless prayers. He has been unconscious for over a month, connected to a ventilator, fighting for his life.

We Miss His Voice And His Lively Presence

It has been over a month now, and though he occasionally regains consciousness, he can neither move nor speak. The doctors say he needs long-term intensive care for any hope of recovery. Watching him like this—helpless, silent, and confined to a bed—is breaking us. The house feels empty without his laughter, his mischief, or even the silly fights he used to have with his brothers.

I Feel Helpless Unable To Do More For Him

As a father, I’ve done everything I can. I am an electrician, working day and night to support my family of five while ensuring my three sons get a good education. We’ve sold whatever we could and borrowed heavily from friends, family, and moneylenders to cover his surgery and treatment so far. But it’s not enough. The bills are piling up, and we need another ₹15 lakhs to continue his treatment. I’ve asked everyone I could, and now, people avoid me, thinking I’ll ask for more.

He Was Talented And Had A Bright Future Ahead Of Him

He is in his final year of BCA at the Regional College of Management and had one big dream—to join the Indian Army. Since he was a boy, he’s been fascinated by the uniform, the discipline, and the honor of serving the country.

He would say, “Papa, I’ll make you proud. One day, I’ll protect the nation.” Now, instead of walking toward that dream, my son lies in a hospital bed, fighting for his life.

His Dream Of Joining The Army Are On Hold Indefinitely

My son’s dream of joining the Indian Army was not just his—it became ours too. He wanted to serve the country, to stand strong and protect others. Now, he needs that strength from us. He needs support from anyone willing to help him get through this. Every parent wants to see their child succeed, to watch them achieve their goals, but my only wish right now is to see him recover.

You Are Our Only Hope Left Now

We’ve exhausted every resource we had, and I’m left with no choice but to ask for help. You are the only one who can help us now. Every contribution, no matter how small, could make a difference. It could give my son a second chance at life, a chance to dream again, and maybe, one day, to stand tall in the uniform he has always wanted to wear.
