Hailing from Bihar, Raju Mukhiya was a hardworking helper in a private company in Chennai. Two years ago, he married Soni Devi, and the couple often spoke about building a future together and starting a family. But a few days ago, those dreams were shattered in a cruel twist of fate. While walking to work, Raju stepped on a fallen live electrical wire carrying 440 volts. The powerful shock tore through his body, causing severe, life-threatening internal burns. He has already lost nearly 50% of muscles in his limbs.
‘If his surgery doesn’t happen on time, they will have to cut off all his limbs’
Raju has already undergone multiple surgeries. But electrical burns are very complicated and tricky—they don't just burn skin, they destroy muscles, nerves, and tissues from within. His condition is worsening, and doctors have warned that any delay could lead to life-threatening infections or amputation. Without timely surgeries and intensive physiotherapy, his limbs may be lost forever.

‘We’ve sold everything… there’s nothing left to fund my treatment anymore’
The family has already spent over ₹10 lakhs—through loans, selling all their savings and belongings, and help from kind friends. But Raju’s care is far from over. The next stage of surgeries, recovery, and rehabilitation will cost lakhs of rupees. His wife is unemployed, his father is elderly and weak, and Raju—the sole breadwinner—is now bedridden. Arranging the funds is completely out of their reach as they have no relatives who can help them either.
“If I don’t get further treatment, I may never walk or work again. My body is broken, but I still want to fight—for my wife, for my father. They depend on me. Please, I beg you to help me recover.
