Father of Three and Sole Provider, an Auto Driver, Needs Urgent Heart Surgery to Survive

My name is Raja. For years, I made a living as an auto driver, working hard to support my family. Life wasn’t easy, but it was enough to keep us comfortable. Six years ago, everything changed when my health started to deteriorate, making each day harder than the last.

It began as a mild chest pain, which led to an angiogram and treatment. I didn’t realize how serious it was until months later when, on my way to work, the pain returned, more intense than ever. I needed another angiogram, a stent, and spent six days in the ICU. Then, just three months later, another checkup revealed I needed a second stent. I thought the worst was over, but now, the doctors have found another severe blockage, and only urgent surgery can save me.

This illness has taken so much from us. I can’t sleep because of the pain, and the financial strain is overwhelming. I lie awake at night, thinking of my three children—a fifth grader, a second grader, and a three-year-old boy. They need me, and I want to be there for them as they grow up.
