“Has anyone’s knuckles started hurting? no? This was the same thought we had when Nikita told us this two weeks ago. Not knowing the reason, we went to the doctor to realise what was yet to be uncovered - that our daughter has cancer. We think that after weeping for days your eyes will dry up, but I cannot stop crying every time I look at my precious girl.” - Smita, Nikita’s mother

If they can't afford her treatment, they will lose her
All throughout life, planning for contingency is what every family does. The Kadam family didn't see this coming. When Nikita was diagnosed with cancer, her parents immediately took her to Bombay for the best treatment, all while thinking of the amount they will have to collect. The doctors said that Nikita has 6 months live if proper treatment is not provided. They did everything they could to try and start her treatment. While her chemotherapy sessions are about to start, they are still digesting the news that they can lose their daughter.
“She is just 10 years old, she goes to class 5! This is not her age to be making the hospital her second home! It is her age to go out and play and read and learn. She loves to study math, she wants to become a math teacher when she grows up. My baby is so smart, she knows so much about phones and computers, she is always teaching us. It's scary to think we will lose her if I can't afford her chemotherapy.” - Nithin, Father of Nikita
Only Nikita can do the math of how many years it would take for us to even start to afford her treatment.

Nikita is an adorable little child. She is everyone's favorite in their village because of her chirpy and playful nature. Nowadays she is in continuous pain and cannot seem to smile. Her family needs your help to save her!
