She Can Barely Breathe, And All She Wants To Do Is Sing Again! Please Save My Daughter's Life

When I see my daughter, Ishita, lying on her hospital bed, my heart breaks into smaller and smaller pieces. The girl who once sang her heart out, whose voice filled every corner of our home with joy, now struggles to breathe. I put earphones in her ears and play her favorite music, and watch a small smile appear on her lips. She listens and tries to hum along, her eyes half closed. She barely moves now, too weak even to whisper, and music is the only thing that brings her comfort amid all the pain.

I can't recognize the daughter I used to know — full of life and dreams. The doctors say she’s critically ill, and all I can do is stand here, helpless, praying for a miracle.

My name is Dibendu Bose. My daughter has always been passionate about singing, and ever since she was a little girl, she has dreamed of becoming a playback singer. She worked so hard, and her talent shined so bright. She won medals, awards, and, just recently, secured an admission at the prestigious London College of Music. She was supposed to start her classes this September. But our dreams came crashing down when she suddenly fell ill.

What started as minor gastric discomfort seemed like nothing serious at first, just acidity or a small stomach issue. But within days, her eyes turned yellow, and she got jaundice.

We rushed her to multiple hospitals in Kolkata, desperate for answers

Her condition kept worsening. Test after test, scan after scan, they all revealed something terrifying: Ishita’s liver was failing. And soon after, we were hit with the news that she had severe aplastic anemia. My daughter was dying, and I had to do something, anything, to save her.

We moved her to Chennai by air ambulance, hoping the specialists there could help. They told us a bone marrow transplant was our only hope. We went through with the first transplant on August 2nd, clinging to the hope that it would work. But just 18 days later, our hope was shattered. The transplant failed.

The doctors say we have no time to waste; Ishita needs a second transplant immediately

The financial burden has been overwhelming. We have already spent all our savings — savings I had put aside for years to support her dreams and send her abroad to study. Everything is gone, consumed by mounting medical bills, hospital stays, and endless treatments. And now, we need more to give her a fighting chance. I have sold whatever I could, borrowed from friends and relatives, even begged for help. But it’s not enough. We’re running out of time, and I’m running out of options.

Please, help save my daughter

Ishita is a fighter. Even now, her love for music is what keeps her holding on. She dreams of standing on stage, singing her heart out to the world, with my wife and I sitting in the front row proudly. But she needs your help to make it there. She is so young, with so much life ahead of her. Don’t let this be the end of her story. Help her sing again.
