Support This 'Helmet Man' In His Pursuit Of Saving Lives And Promoting Road Safety

Raghvendra Singh, also known as Helmet Man, is a road safety crusader who has been distributing free helmets to bikers in India for several years. His story began when he lost his close friend in a tragic accident - caused by not wearing a helmet.

It was back in March 2014 that I lost my close friend in a road accident involving a two-wheeler. He was the only child of his parents, who was born to them after 20 years of marriage. This incident left a lasting impact on me and that’s when I decided to distribute helmets to anyone who needed them.” - Raghvendra Singh

Since then, Raghvendra has dedicated his life to promoting road safety and has distributed over 56,000 helmets to bikers across the country. He started by selling his own savings and even sold his flat in Noida to raise funds for his campaign. He believes that the cost of a helmet should not be a barrier to road safety and that everyone should have access to a quality helmet.

Raghvendra's efforts have not gone unnoticed, and he has received recognition and support from several organizations and individuals, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who lauded his efforts in promoting road safety.

“Recently, I gave a free helmet to a man from Indore who was riding his two-wheeler without one on Delhi’s roads. He got into an accident just a week later. He told me that his skull would have been crushed-in if not for the helmet that I provided him. I felt immense satisfaction at the fact that my simple act was enough to save his life.” - Raghavendra

Raghavendra went on to set up the Helmet Man Foundation, and is working on its First Helmet Bank to be established at Pari Chowk in the heart of Greater Noida city soon. Any person in the district can avail a free helmet, which is branded and meets ISI standards, for 7 days. The Helmet Bank will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, all through the year.

“As of now, this facility is only for the residents of Gautam Buddha Nagar. The basic idea is to provide a helmet to someone who forgets to carry one from home. Also, if someone needs the helmet for only a short duration, such as for a guest or a friend. There would be helmets available for children as well.” - Raghavendra

Through his Foundation, Raghavendra aims to raise an army of volunteers to create awareness about road safety and save more people from road accidents in India. His team currently receives calls from every corner of India seeking financial help for road accident victims, and he is also personally involved in taking care of those injured in road accidents to the best of his ability.

“We will be working to provide employment through our Helmet Bank and will also formulate a quick Road Safety Guide for riders to spread awareness, by distributing collaterals to all riders who get challans for not wearing helmets. This will not help insurance companies save claim amounts in addition to contributing to save lives.- Raghvendra

His campaign requires more funding to reach a larger audience and create a greater impact. With your support, he can continue his mission and save more lives. Your contribution to Raghvendra's campaign will help him purchase more helmets and expand his reach to more parts of the country. With your help, he can educate more people about the importance of wearing helmets while riding a motorcycle and prevent unnecessary deaths on the road.

Raghvendra's selfless dedication to road safety is an inspiration to us all, and we can all play a part in making our roads safer. Donate now and help save lives on the road.
