I Lost My 1st Baby Even Before It’s Heart Could Even Beat And Now I’m At The Verge Of Losing My 2nd Child Too

A Mother's Plea: Help Us Bring Our Premature Baby Home

I'm Priyanka, and I'm reaching out to you with a mix of vulnerability and hope. My husband, Jagadish, and I have been on a journey to parenthood marked by deep heartbreak and unwavering hope.

Our story took a difficult turn in 2021 when we faced the painful loss of our first baby due to a miscarriage. Devastated but determined, we gathered the strength to try again. However, fate had other plans, and our second baby arrived early, just at 24 weeks and 3 days.

My Husband and I lost our baby before its heart could even beat. We were careful this time, and in the 6th month of my pregnancy, the doctor highly recommended a cervical stitch due to the risk of miscarriage or prematurity. I didn't hesitate to do anything to prevent that from happening, but still...

Our baby boy, weighing only 650 grams, is now fighting for his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), relying on a ventilator. The doctors say he needs NICU support until he reaches at least 1.5kgs in weight.

As a mom, the moment I could hold my baby for the first time was both precious and heart-wrenching. I was afraid to hurt him, but since that day, holding him close brings me comfort. Each day in the NICU is a struggle, and I dream of the day I can take him back home, healthy and happy.

With the help of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) and continued NICU support, our little one has a good chance of recovering soon. KMC involves skin-to-skin contact and is an intervention designed to care for premature or low birth weight infants.

My Husband, Jagadish, works hard in a BPO, earning 25 thousand, barely enough to cover the growing expenses. We come from a lower-middle-class background, and despite our best efforts and health insurance, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

In a few more weeks, we can bring our baby boy safely home. But this is only possible with your support. If you find it in your hearts to contribute to our fundraiser, you'll be helping a family on the brink of a miracle.
