As a priest, I’ve spent my life serving God, offering prayers for those seeking blessings. But today, I find myself in desperate need of a miracle. My five-year-old son, once full of life and laughter, now lies in a hospital bed, fighting for every breath. He had just started school a few weeks ago, and he was always so excited to go, running around the house with joy. But a sudden illness changed everything.
He Cried In Pain, Begging To Go Back Home
But one day, my son came home from school tired, unusually so. At first, we thought it was just the exhaustion of adjusting to school life. Then came the cough, the fever, and the shortness of breath. We took him to the nearest hospital, thinking it might be dengue or some seasonal illness. But when his condition worsened, an X-ray revealed that he had developed a severe lung infection, and fluid had filled his tiny chest. We rushed him to a bigger hospital but after twelve hours of treatment, he was immediately transferred to Lucknow. During the ambulance ride, my son cried in pain, begging to go home, but I was helpless.
He Is On Ventilator Struggling For Every Breath
When we reached Lucknow, he was admitted to the ICU and remained unconscious for 36 hours. His lungs have been severely affected, and now he relies on a ventilator to stay alive. The boy who once ran and played with so much energy is now silent and barely responsive. He asks for his mother, but she is far away, at home, caring for his younger brother. Our family is torn apart, with his mother balancing the needs of one child while worrying endlessly for the other.
They Feel Helpless Unable To Arrange The Money For Treatment
Our financial situation has only added to our pain. As a priest, I barely earn 6000 rupees a month, performing poojas and prayers. We sold our family land, our jewelry, and took loans, but it’s still not enough. The doctors say his treatment will cost 8.27 lakhs, an impossible amount for us to afford. My brother, too, has given us everything he has, yet we are still falling short.
