13-Year-Old With Cancer Dreams Of Finding A Better Cure For It So That Other Children Don’t Suffer Like Him

“When he got to know that he has cancer, he went through two phases – the first one was grief. He wouldn’t talk to us and kept to himself for days. The second was that of determination. This phase continues till date; even when in unbearable pain, he only thinks of one thing – ‘How can I find a cure for cancer so that other children don’t suffer like me?’” - Poonam, mother.

Ever since he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June this year, life has been full of suffering for 13-year-old Aryan. He became a poor shadow of his previous bubbly, cheerful self. Excruciating body pain, headache, and lack of sleep have become a part and parcel of his existence. He needs continued chemotherapy to survive and make his dreams come true, but his family has already exhausted all their savings on his treatment and are in a very difficult situation now, both mentally and financially.

‘He was in the ICU in a critical condition…thankfully, he pulled through’

Cancer has almost disabled Aryan. He cannot stand on his own, forget walk around like before. He has lost his luscious hair and has dark bags under his eyes Recently, he was admitted to the hospital as he contracted a severe infection, and his blood pressure came crashing down. His condition has remained fragile, and doctors have told his parents to take extra care of him.

“When he was shifted to the room from the ICU, he was weak but full of positivity. He talks about helping others – including animals, even when he is in so much pain and distress. My child does not deserve this fate.” - Poonam, tearfully.

They have valued their children above everything else, and are asking your help to save their youngest

Anil and Poonam are kind and loving parents and have always put their three children’s needs above theirs. This was especially required because their eldest son is autistic and a special needs child. Everything was going smoothly for this family until, as if someone had cast an evil eye on their happiness, Aryan got so sick.

Anil runs a computer repair business that has not been doing so well in the post-pandemic situation. He was already struggling to make ends meet when hospital expenses were added to his responsibilities. All his savings have been wiped out now, and he has no way to continue Aryan’s treatment.

“My children mean the world to me. Until this point, I had not left any stone unturned in making all their wishes come true and catering to all their needs. I need your help desperately now. Without it, I can lose my youngest child.”- Anil Kumar.
