The number of residents from Mysuru opting for online crowdfunding to raise funds for medical expenses has seen an increase. According to statistics made available from India’s leading crowdfunding portal Milaap, the percentage of medical fundraisers has increased from 24 per cent in 2016 to 40 per cent in 2018 (to date). The name Solace and Sheeba Ameer are not new to the charity arena. Sheeba Ameer is a renowned charity activist who helps the financially backward cancer patients.
