FAQs

Any teacher in India, willing to raise funds for their students is eligible to raise funds. You can also raise funds for a teacher / school you know.
Yes. You may create the campaign for yourself or on behalf of a student or a teacher you want to help. Ensure you have the consent and necessary supporting documents of the student before doing so.
If your fundraising page was created before this initiative started, you may still enter by reaching out to your respective campaign manager. Alternatively, you could also write in to feedback@milaap.org to participate.
  • Description of yourself (or the teacher you wish you fundraise for) and background (where you/teacher are from, the exact project, etc)
  • Which school / community you’re teaching and what kinds of expenses you’ll incur
  • Your motivation for wanting to help the students
  • How the fundraiser will help your students
The requirement for a support document is to validate the target amount of your fundraiser. You can provide documents such as invoices from vendors, letter from schools, etc.
You can raise funds on Milaap for your fundraiser at any point in time. All contributions will be matched 20% only until 5th September, up to Rs. 20 Lakhs.

There are a lot of factors that go into a successful Milaap page, and we want to make sure you have everything you need to succeed. First, visit your dashboard and click on ‘Promote fundraiser’ to get few tips, from our successful campaigns in the past, which you can follow to make your campaign a success!Second, each one of you will have a campaign manager assigned to help you with the fundraising. Be proactive in implementing their ideas and be in constant touch with them over Whatsapp. 
Your funds can be transferred to your personal bank account or the institution.
Please visit your campaign page and log in from there
  1. Once you log in, on your campaign page you will see a message on top; please click on "Manage your campaign and withdrawals"
  2. On the next page, click on the button "Withdraw funds". Since you are on this page, do take a minute to thank some of your donors personally.
  3. You can now see the account summary of your campaign. Click on "Withdraw Funds"
  4. You can choose which funds to withdraw - Indian Rupees or Dollar funds. Choose the amount you wish to withdraw, and click on "Continue"
  5. After that, you have to fill in the bank account details; click on continue. Do not forget to attach your fee receipt / admission challan while you raise the request. 
Our team will process the withdrawal once you complete the request. You will see the number of days expected, based on the currency (Rupees on Dollars), in the last page.
