    This fundraiser will benefit

    Ilavazhaki

    from Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu

I'm Sankar- Campaign organizer, the reason for this campaign is to support Mrs.Ilavazhaki to achieve her dream. I'm travelling with her for past 4years. In this journey i have seen a lot of challenges she faced to run her academy in rural area.

How many of us know about this "World Carrom Champion"..???? She lifted world cup twice for her nation India.

She hails from Vyasarpadi on the outskirts of north Chennai. Her father Irudayaraj who drives a motorized FISH cart and supports the family with his income and mother Selvi, a homemaker.

She holds 260 medals. Out of which 106 gold medals, 17 silver medals & 12 bronze medals in National competition and 111 gold medals , 9 silver and 5 bronze medals in International competition (We have records for everything and ready to share if anyone needs to see it). She is a three times world cup champion.

Now she has rented a building to train poor kids born with talents to shine in Carrom. Ilavazhaki is destined to train talented champions to fight the odds out in international competition.

She is struggling a lot to make this dream come true. She finds difficult to pay the rent to the building. This is a step to take her dreams forward. Please donate for this great cause.

Interesting story Shared by Mrs.Ilavazhaki

Once she won world cup in France, she got an offer from France government to stay and play for their country, also the government ready to offer monthly 5 lakh as salary and an individual residence with all other facilities. But, our pride refused everything because the only reason behind is to play only for her nation India.

How many of us have this attitude to serve only for our nation ?

Every one rupee we donating here will help to achieve her dream to train people from rural areas.

Exact plan to use the fund raised by this campaign.
Our plan is to buy a land for her in Thiruvallur (Thiruvallur District, Tamilnadu), also we planned to construct a building which should hold at-least  24 carrom boards along with two rooms for players. One for male and one for female players for refreshment.

During the time of tournament, Mrs.Ilavazhaki and team needs to spend around Rs.30,000 minimum for renting Marriage hall, also post match (Prize Distribution) will also take the same amount of rent.  In a year minimum two tournaments we use to plan, this will boost players to achieve more and more.

All this task are not easy to maintain with her own money.

So, if we construct this building, it will give a huge relief for her and it will help us to concentrate on game.
