About the project :
Mission Fight The Cold is a small endeavor to help people by distributing blankets to those who spend their night sleeping on street during this chilly winter. Last year, We covered most parts of Kolkata distributing "10000 blankets”!!! We want to do the same again, not only in Kolkata but in other cities as well including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune etc. It costs us approximately Rs. 120 for a good quality blanket if we source in Bulk. So, please share and contribute to bring smile on few faces on this new year!!!
How we started it!!!
The journey started last year, when I was walking on a street in Kolkata. I saw an old man, looking at his condition, I offered him some food. He replied saying “sahib bahut thaand hain, agar aap de sakte ho to ek kambal de do (Its very cold here, if you can give something, please give us a blanket)”. I realized, it’s not only him but many people like him who might need the same. So I along with one of my friend has pooled in some money and started distributing blankets at night to these people. We got support from our friends and family which helped us distribute 10000 blankets last year. Please check out the gallery section for some of last year pics.
How you can contribute:

Who are are: We are a small group of ordinary people with a desire to help someone in need. You are welcome to be a part of this noble cause us joining and contributing in whatever way possible.
Risks and Challenges :
Not able to reach out to funding goal means distribution of fewer blankets than we have planned for. If we over acheive our funding goal, we will be able to donate more blankets. So, please share and contribute.
