A gentle lady Satya ji, along with a small bunch of volunteers, runs a small rescue ahead of Bhondsi in Sohna Road, Gurgaon. At any given time, it hosts around 35-40 rescue dogs seeking homes. These are all dogs and pups found in difficult and unmanageable situations from across Delhi & NCR. The dogs and pups are hosted here till homes are found for them.
The costs include -
- Rent @ Rs. 25,000 pm
- Salary expenses of caretakers @ Rs. 40,000 pm
- Transport for vet visits, delivery of food etc. @ Rs. 10,000 pm
- Dog food and other daily requirements @ Rs. 35,000 pm
- Medical expenses @ Rs. 20,000 pm
- Electricity, diesel and other fuel bills @ Rs. 35,000
This comes to an approximate total of Rs. 1.65 lakhs per month
There is an opportunity to find homes for about 8 to 10 of the saddest dogs and pups in the US. The dogs and pups selected are all wonderful loving sociable creatures who are unhappy in a boarding / shelter setup and can thrive in homes. The total cost of logistics and transport of all of them is about Rs. 5 lakhs total. On an average of Rs. 50,000 per dog, about 10 dogs will find forever homes in the US.
This would also reduce the stress on the rescue and bring down costs in the long run, while also making place for more rescues to be accommodated.
This has gotten critical because Satya ji has taken ill. The more dogs and pups find homes, the better it will be in the long term interest of the rescue.

Satya ji is taking care of few of my own rescue cases also. She helped me dogs treatment and  and board them until they recover.

All donors can visit the centre and interact with the rescue dogs and resident staff to understand the status of care being given. Please help in taking the identified dogs and pups to their homes in the US.
