1.TACHYON MOTORSPORT, is a team of 26 young, enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Mechanical Engineering students of JSS ACADEMY OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION, BANGALORE.2.We have previously participated in FFS 2017 by the name "STORMRAGE RACING" and have secured an AIR 14. With the new year, new members and a fresh batch of young talent, we decided to rename the team to TACHYON MOTORSPORTS and as the name suggests, we strive to be the fastest, and the most efficient team.
3.We have taken an initiative to participate in RCDC (RALLY CAR DESIGN CHALLENGE) 2019 and INDIA BAJA 2019. We as a team embrace the enthusiasm and passion to develop a two- seater ATV.
4.Having been supported and motivated by our institution and faculties, we strive towards the success of the season which includes designing, assembly, testing, racing, presenting and marketing a prototype formula vehicle like a true engineering company and perform at our best capabilities in the national level competitions.
5.Rally car design challenge (RCDC) is an engineering design challenge for the budding new engineers of the country. This is India’s first challenge in which engineering students will be coming in contact and participating with professional motorsports people. The target for the teams is to design a two- seater buggy which is ergonomically and aesthetically sound and is a fun and durable machine in its own ways. The main aim of participating in RCDC is to know about how the automobile industry works, so teams will have to work and function like an automotive company in which they develop this product and launch it in market and sell. So, to check these things there will be continues assessments like sales report, cost report, business plan and in which professional team of mentors from RCDC will be training us on how to improve those.
6.The event takes place in 4 stages:
Technical Inspection (9th August).
Day Round (10th August).
Night Round (10th August).
Man made track (11th August).
7.WHY FUND US?
•By participating in this event we will get great exposure towards innovation, designing and development field.
•Students will be exposed to effective time management, financial management and team work.
•The college name will be highlighted among the top automobile companies, which indirectly help to get more placement opportunities.
•There are a very few 2 seater buggies for deserts due to the extreme variation in temperatures. We aim in manufacturing a vehicle which can sustain these extreme temperatures and can be used for defence purpose in deserts.
•The students working on this project can become entrepreneurs.
•Final year students will get a chance to attend the HR round in the event organised by many reputed Companies such as POLARIS, AMK INDUSTRIES, KTM, INDIAN OIL, INDIAN MOTORCYCLES etc.
