Mannat a 1 year old girl born with Congenital Heart defect, in layman’s language hole in a heart.  Her disease name is Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). During her course of treatment at G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi Dr. Sanjeev Kathuria, Cardiologist has been advised for PDA device closure. The total estimated cost for the treatment is around 95,400/-. The cost of device is 50,400/- and supportive care cost like medicine, surgical items, hospital visit expense and nutrition support will be around Rs. 45,000/-.

The family belongs to extremely lower socio income group, her father; the sole bread winner is working as a daily wages labor in different construction sites.  There are 4 members in a family. They live on rented house in Shakurbasti and it is not possible for him to manage Mannat’s treatment expenses along with other household responsibilities.  The annual family income is Rs. 90,000 to 1,08,000/- which clearly states that they cannot afford the cost of the treatment, hence we need funds to support her treatment at the earliest.

Once again lack of finance is the main hurdle.  For all of us Rs. 1 lakh may not be a big amount but for her family it’s a huge amount for them.  We request you to come forward and support this little girl and give her a ‘Gift of Life’.
