"The Distance Between Your Dreams And Reality Is Call Action"
'India does not have a sports culture, says Boria Majumdar, a leading Indian sports scholar who’s authored numerous books on the topic. Yet a large chunk of youth are passionate about sports and want to make a career in sports and merge their passion with profession.
What’s the limitation? Most of the champions who have received accolades at the National level and proven their mettle come from extremely poor families and it becomes difficult for them to sponsor their travel and expenses to various national and international championships and thus are left high and dry.
Lack of sponsorship from the Government is one of the main causes why sports talent hasn't been able to nourish in India. Yes, celebrated champions get funds, sponsorships, brand deals but if you are still in your early stages, you are on your own.
Zain Nazir and Hashim Majeed are two upcoming International Taekwondo Athletes who have won all bronze, silver and gold medals in different championships and received accolades for their sportsmanship. Both of them have represented India in the 2nd India Open International Olympic Ranking Taekwondo Championship held at Hyderabad 2019.
As ace Taekwandoo champions, both Hashim and Zaid have been invited for three G2 Olympic Ranking events scheduled from March 1 to March 14 2022.
1) 11th Asian Taekwondo Clubs Championships, Krish Island, Iran
2) WT President's Cup, Krish Island, Iran
3) 32 Fajr Open, Krish Island, Iran
The championships are official world Taewondo Olympic Randking events and all three have G2 grade. Players across the globe participate in the said events in order to score points for forth coming Olympics.
They would need the said funds to cover their Air Tickets, 14 Day stay including food and entry fee for all the three rankings.
Please help Zain and Hashim to secure funds to be able to attend these three events and represent India in the International Taekwondo Championships and make us proud.
