My friend, Zaid, lost his father, Lt. Noori Mohammed, to prostate cancer yesterday. Zaid and his dad had emigrated from Iraq to India in search of the best treatment. For over 6 months, Zaid stood beside his dad 24X7 in the hospital. Zaid is all by himself now. I can’t even imagine being in his shoes.

Given the present scenario, it is challenging for him to travel back to his family to ensure a proper funeral. His travel documentation is under the hospital’s retention due to pending hefty bills (12 lacs approx.). As fate would have it, his visa stands expired, which puts him in a really tough spot.
