    This fundraiser will benefit

    Bhartiya Badhir Vidyalaya

    from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Tax benefits for INR donations will be issued by You And Me Deaf Community Trust

Bhartiya Badhir Vidyalaya has been a home to some of the most precious deaf kids for the past few years, neglected by our society and in some cases even by their own families for their different abilities.

The world's definitions of normality refuse to incorporate beyond the ordinary and these extraordinary children have so much to offer to this world yet they are left behind by the rigid conventions of how the world functions.

With India's first Deaf Principal Mr. Dharmesh Kumar and Ms. Geetanjali Nair, who is qualified in Indian Sign Language with 17 years of experience in the Deaf Community, together, started this residential school for the Deaf and underprivileged children.

They have been toiling endlessly for years towards their dream to buy a land of their own for the school without salaries or funds from the government. Today they stand at a point where they need financial support to buy a permanent land for their residential school for the children to have a place where they can belong and nurture their abilities without having to worry about being displaced again and again.

Please help them gather enough funds to buy the house they currently live on rent within the speculated time of 4 to 6 months as it will be sold off soon. The school has struggled through many years of having to pay rent while they were challenged with other everyday expenditures with having no constant means of support.

Currently, as BBV functions in a rented residential house and receives no aid from the government or any private organization, the following requirements besides a need for a land for the school is what the team is challenged to meet monthly.

A). Recurring Expenditures Per Month
1. House Rent Rs 9,000/-
2. Electricity Bill Rs. 700/-
3. Ration Rs.10,000/-
4. Milk Rs. 5,500/- (Rs.59/ltr x 3 Ltrs/day x 31 days)
5. Vegetables & Fruits Rs. 6,000/-
6. Stationary Rs. 2,000/-
7. Salaries a) Principal Rs. 30,000/- b) Teacher Rs. 15,000/- x 2
Grand Total Rs. 93,200/-

B). Non-Recurring Expenditures

1. LCD Television – Needed for teaching purposes as teaching the Deaf visually is the most effective way.
2. Coloured Printer – which is used extensively for printing visual teaching aids, revision exercises, class test papers, making copies of a few books, etc, and many more. A good printer is the need of the hour.
3. Computers – 2 nos. To begin teaching computers to our students, as computer knowledge is now used in every aspect of our lives.

It is a heartfelt request to kindly come forward and donate to the cause and give an opportunity to these Deaf children coming from the villages of India to receive education, their fundamental right, in order to live a life with respect and dignity.

PLEASE HELP BBV, INDIA'S SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF, REACH THIS GOAL BEFORE THEIR DREAM LAND TO BUILD THEIR SCHOOL IS SOLD OFF IN THE NEXT 4 TO 6 MONTHS.
