    women and girls

    from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand

Tax benefits for INR donations will be issued by Femfuture Collective Foundation

Lack of menstrual intelligence is leading to poor education and health outcomes for 500 million women and girls in India. We are changing that one workshop at a time through our grassroots initiative 'Green Period Project'.

Green Period Project: In this project, we work with women and girls in the age group of 13-30 years from economically weaker sections to create access to knowledge and affordable eco-friendly period products. Through our engagement we empower menstruators to make informed choices about their periods and towards a healthy life.

The funds raised from this initiative will be used to provide training, support and ecofriendly period products for 500 women and girls based out Jharkhand, Odisha and Maharashtra in India.

Reach - The total reach will be 500 menstruators who will be making the shift to an eco-friendly alternative while reducing a minimum of 12,00,000 less plastic bags being dumped in the landfills for at least the next 5 years. (Assuming 1 plastic sanitary pad = 4 plastic bags)

(The Math - 500 menstruators x 10 pads/menstruator x 12 months x 4 plastic bags x 5 years = 12,00,000 plastic bags)

Femfuture Collective is a result of 5 years of work in women’s health, with a focus on menstrual health and climate change. The interconnections between health indicators for women, gender equality and climate change have become starkly visible since the pandemic. There is an urgent need to create systemic on-ground interventions which will impact women's health through education, innovation and action.
