Our non-profit organization is currently involved in a pro-bono assignment with a group of absolutely passionate educators!
These teachers work at Vivek Modern School, located in an under-resourced neighborhood of East Delhi- Subash Vihar, Shahdara, Delhi. They are constantly fighting numerous challenges on a daily basis to help students get the quality education that they rightfully deserve.
In August 2022, in another attempt to realize the vision of quality education, these teachers adopted a challenging yet effective art-integrated pedagogy. 25+ teachers were successfully trained in and are now in the implementation phase where they are integrating art activities in their day-to-day classes, making it more inclusive for all types of learners.
While we are assisting these educators with the pedagogical challenges, the school management has lent a helping hand by making changes in syllabus, classroom space management and other aspects.
Together, we have come a long way and now we need your help!
Although voice is an important tool for any teacher, yet 20% of teachers in India face throat-related issues. In this particular school, the noise from external neighborhood as well as other classrooms creates difficulty for the students to hear the teacher properly. For teachers, this results in strained voices which can worsen and for students, it results in an inefficient classroom. There are multifold disadvantages to this situation but the worst being demoralized teachers and disengaged students.

We have tested Portable Voice Amplifiers ( Mics ) at the school and the teachers have registered their feedback with us. Following which, we have finalized this item from Amazon to provide to each of the teachers, in the hope that it will help them raise the quality of education that they wish to provide their students.
Below is a rough calculation on how we plan to distribute the funds:
Portable Voice Amplifier (Mics) : INR 2,590 X 20 pcs = INR 51,800/-
Other Project-related costs : INR 23,200/-
Total : INR 75,000/-
Essentially, this fundraiser is to provide these portable voice amplifiers to the teachers at this school.
