The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is taking a greater toll day by day. Hospitals and other infrastructures have crumbled and are unable to facilitate people suffering from the pandemic. The second wave of COVID-19 has reached villages as well.
For the social cause of providing basic healthcare facility at their village itself, members of Pandey family, in the memory of their Grandfather Pandit Shyam Bihar Pandey Ji who later took sanyaas and was known as Swami Shyamashram Ji Maharaj, formed Swami Shyamashram Seva Sansthan, Gaighat.
Our village Gaighat is situated under Brahmpur Block of Buxar District, Bihar. It has an approximate population of 10000. Village Gaighat and many other neighboring villages too do not have access to basic healthcare facilities.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to establish a small healthcare centre to help villagers fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The healthcare centre shall employ a doctor from a neighboring area for easy consultation from its premise and over other electronic media like tele-counselling etc., provide medicines, masks, other such consumables and food to the needy. The volunteers would undertake the activity of spreading awareness about the protocol to be followed and precautions to be taken to effectively combat COVID-19.
