Our friend and batch-mate Vikas Shah (Editing student, SRFTI) had suffered a stroke on 17th Feb, 2021, leading to a partial paralysis. He was admitted to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. He needs an immediate OPEN HEART SURGERY (Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement) to prevent further stroke. The said operation has an estimated cost of Rs 5lakh INR. His father being a tailor, Vikas had to work (at NERIE NCERT Shillong) to support his family while still doing his diploma. This accident has taken away his job too.
Attached are his medical reports. Dr DEVI PRASAD SHETTY of Narayana Health City in Bengaluru, India is supposed to operate on him in Bengaluru in April, 2021.
