Vanita, a loving wife, a generous friend and a devoted mother of 4 beautiful children(daughters-16,12,12 yrs. , son – 5yrs) was diagnosed with very aggressive form of Breast Cancer 2 yrs. back(2017) when she was just 40 years old.
Primary Diagnosis: IDC (INFILTRATING DUCTAL CARCINOMA)
B/L BREAST CANCER, STAGE IV (BONE METASTASES)
ER+PR+HER2 3 +
Her treatment was immediately started but after more than six months grinning and bearing her way through a punishing chemotherapy schedule (6 rounds), Vanita’s situation went from bad to worse within 6 months the cancer spread to the second breast and spine. But cancer did not stop spreading, it was spread to her ovaries by year and half. Her life became very tough with 4 kids. As much as Vanita, her husband Suresh Singh and their family have tried to fight their way through this nightmare without asking anything of anyone, the medical expenses up to this point have put them in a tough place financially. Before even facing what is to come now that the cancer has spread to her brain, MRI shows tumors in the brain and this needs Radiation therapy and some next level medication due to +ve BRCA1 test results. After strong encouragement from those of us who care so much about them, they have reluctantly agreed to allow their friends to organize a Go Fund Me effort on their behalf. Her husband was already weakened in business and finance due his Arthritis problem detected 5 yrs. back.
The treatment since last 2 years exhausted all the savings they had and what family could help. And money gets tighter as the medical bills compound the issue. Vanita and her husband never thought they would be in this position. Neither would probably any of us. But tragically, it could happen to any of us at any time. And no one should have to worry about money when they need to focus entirely on fighting cancer and taking care of their kids. She needs to get radiation done to cure cancer in brain and some next level medications which is very costly and seeks everyone’s help here in her most difficult time of life.
