Chameli, a street dog and a mother of 7 pups was hit in her spine by a ruthless person in Vikroli, Mumbai. She has a broken vertebrae and it was recommended that she be put to sleep. Hospitals refused to admit her when she was waiting in the ambulance in pain, stating renovation and space issues. Hence, I decided that this girl has to be given a chance and took matters into my own hands.

Under an experienced vet, we have started her treatment comprising of  laser, acupressure, accupunture, homeopathy, and herb therapy. The option of surgery is also been discussed parallely. Hope is all that we have right now. This post is to request people can help us cover the costs of her treatment which is expensive and prolonged.

The cost per day is at least Rs. 950 for treatment, transport and fostering. This cost does not include medicines. A surgical correction with leading doctors might be required which we would need to raise more funds for. Post operative physiotherapy and laser may also be required. The entire cost of her treatment will be Rs 50,000. Since her treatment will go on for more than a month or so, it's taking a huge toll on us.

All bills and accounts are completely transparent and will be shared. No stone will remain unturned in her treatment.
