Project Akanksha has been working earnestly to provide educational assistance to the underprivileged children of Sanshil Foundation and till now, have been able to instruct close to 100 children with online classes.
In our endeavour to reach more people, we are holding a fundraiser till the 10th of September 2020
Due to the financial burden, intensified by the lockdown, many parents are unable to afford basic items for their childrens’ education. Thus, we will be collecting funds to provide these children with:

1. Stationery items such as textbooks, notebooks, pens, etc to support their online classes and otherwise.
2. Many families are facing financial hardships in the light of the pandemic which subsequently results in the withdrawal of their children from school. In the case of families with multiple children, the girls will often be the first to have to sacrifice on their education. Once the child is out of the education system, it becomes harder to reintegrate them.

We are all aware of the plight of the girl child in India, and one of the best ways to make sure that they are not further disenfranchised is to help educate them. Thus, through this fundraiser we will be helping to sustain and pay for the education of the most needful girl child at Sanshil Foundation’s Project Bagiya.
3. Also, in our exclusive collaboration with the Sanshil Foundation’s Project Bagiya, we will be raising money to distribute cotton masks handmade by rural women at the village stitching centre. We will be giving underprivileged children and their families these masks for free. This initiative is two-fold; it will help generate livelihood opportunities for women in villages and provide safe and environment friendly protection to the underprivileged families.
