Hi, I am Aditi Chauhan, goalkeeper of the Indian National Football team and been representing my country for the past 15 years. Growing up, I faced a lot of challenges from the society and professionally - there was no place for me to go and train throughout the year, no one to guide how I can progress as a footballer or how one day I can play football professionally or represent my country. I had to find my own path to get closer to my dream. When I finally made it to the national team, I realised all the other other girls also faced similar issues in terms of facilities and opportunities for girls to play football.
So I managed to convince my parents for me to pursue Sports Management at Loughborough University in the UK with an aim to ultimately comeback to India and contribute in the development of women's football, get more girls to play this sport and make this journey and path a little bit easier for girls who want to pursue football as a career.
I registered my foundation called Aditi Chauhan Foundation and have been running free football coaching program for girls in Delhi called SHE KICKS.
We also cover the travel cost of all the underprivileged so they can come and play regularly without it being a financial burden on their families. Along with that we also provide nutrition support to the girls so they can recover well after training sessions.
Me and my she kicks team hope to get your support so we can continue running this program for the girls and provide all possible support to these girls in their journey to achieve their dream of playing football.
