    from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Tax benefits for INR donations will be issued by Vidyakshetra Trust

Udhbhavaha is working towards re-establishing the dharmic ethos of Bharath and support the Indic Renaissance that is unfolding around us today.

Udhbhavaha is an initiative of Vidyakshetra Trust, a registered not-for-profit organization. We are located in Muddainapalya, a village on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

To achieve our goals, we are working on the following initiatives :

1. Providing wholesome education that enables children to develop into healthy, happy adults, capable of facing the daily challenges in this world while living a contended life and contributing to the well-being of society. Udhbhavaha's education model provides ample opportunity for all-round development of children, viz. physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual.

2. Recognising the efforts of young farmers of Karnataka and teaching organic farming to children. Udhbhavaha children participate in all farming activities at Diwakar anna's farm - complete paddy cycle, growing Barahi dates, preparation of jaggery from sugarcane, preparing natural fertilisers and pest repellants. Every year during Sankranti festival celebrations at Marali Mannige Farm in Gauribidanur, we felicitate a young farmer, thus encouraging our youth to choose agriculture as a source of livelihood. A cash prize is given with the award.

3. Dr. K S Narayanacharya Sammaana Sabhe : Supporting budding authors, who are engaged in the exploration of truth and working on bringing to light the true itihaasa of Bharatha. Every year on Guru Poornima, we hold a conference where eminent people share about our true history, to set the narrative right. This event is dedicated to our mentor and guide, Dr. K S Narayanacharya. During Guru Poornima this year, we honoured Shri Sandeep Balakrishna (Founder and editor of Dharma Dispatch, author of Invaders and Infidels and other books), Shri Jeevan Rao (author of Yuganta : The advent of Kaliyuga) and Smt. Smitha Srinivasmurthy (author and translator). A cash prize is given with the award.

4. Kala Sandhya, a platform for budding artistes of Bharatiya Kalas. Held during Karthika maasa, Kala Sandhya is a cultural program where one can experience the richness and exuberance of our indigenous art forms, performed by local artistes. A cash prize is given to support the efforts of the performers.

5. Dhrishti, a parenting workshop, offered by Udhbhavaha teachers and parents. During this program, participants come to gain valuable insights about child development, based on the experiences that we have had with children during the last 8 years. Dhrishti is presented in both online and offline formats.

6. Itihaasa (loosely translates as History) - For most of us, when we think of the history of our country, the thoughts that come readily to mind are the practice of Sati, exploitation of people due to the caste system and the many rituals / practices portrayed as superstition or blind belief. When this is taught in schools as our history, we begin to look at our culture and people with disdain. It is time we changed this...At Udhbhavaha, we are creating a framework and syllabus that can be used by schools to help children learn and imbibe history in a manner to build pride in Bharatiya culture, our rich heritage and this great nation called Bharath.

Our financial model
The design and every aspect of Udhbhavaha is aligned with the values and the principles it stands for. We aim at building a mindset of co-existence and inclusivity.
Udhbhavaha runs on a daan-based model. The closest English translation for DAAN is “selfless donation”. Parents and well-wishers of Udhbhavaha generously offer daan required for our sustenance. Most not-for-profit educational institutions across the world survive on external support to meet their monetary requirements.
We have adopted a “needs-based salary” approach, meaning, the salaries of people at Udhbhavaha is not decided based on their qualification, work-experience or the position they hold. Teachers here enjoy learning with children, are self-reflective and do not treat this as a job. A person who joins Udhbhavaha shares his/her financial requirement based on their family needs. It is often difficult to meet those needs, balancing with our affordability.
It is time for us to come together and collectively put efforts to bring back the lost glory of our country!

We humbly request you to give Daan to Udhbhavaha, supporting us in our endeavour to make Bharath great again!

Donations made to Udhbhavaha are exempted from Income Tax under section 80G.
