Hey everyone, my friend Tousif Shaikh aka Tousif De Navelim has been providing essential groceries and home cooked food to thousands of families and homeless people irrespective of religion or caste since March 22nd 2020. In addition to the above,Tousif has also been providing food to Elderly Care Homes, Orphanages,Households whose members have been affected by HIV apart from helping send stranded migrants back to their hometowns
and lastly providing food to stray dogs every day without fail.
Having been Inspired by the Sikh Humanitarian NGO, Khalsa Aid, Tousif has been doing all of this along with his strong team of 75 odd volunteers.
Now since the lockdown has been eased a bit in Goa and curfew rules have been relaxed when it comes to buying essential groceries, Tousif's mission to ensure that not a single homeless family or any of the above vulnerable groups sleep on an empty stomach has been a success to a great extent but not without his own share of financial and logistical hurdles and difficulties along the way, for which thankfully he has been supported by his well wishers from both Goa and abroad encouraging him to carry on with his Humanitarian initiative.
Presently,Tousif has providing food to 2800 people every day including lunch for 1600 people and dinner to 1200 people which he intends to provide till the end of July.
Therefore, I humbly request all those generous souls out there to please contribute to this noble cause in whatever capacity you all can just like how you've contributed to our affected and underprivileged brothers and sisters in different parts of the country.
